Useful tips for survivors

Below are simple tips that will help the survivalist as a beginner or not. They are focused more on the general preparation of the survivor and on survival in society, and not in any specific conditions.

·         1. First of all, it is necessary to prepare for the most likely emergency situations: economic crisis, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, war. And only by the residual principle does it prepare for situations such as an invasion of aliens or a zombie apocalypse.

·         2. If trouble can happen, it will happen. If trouble cannot happen, it still happens. Those. any object that could potentially bring emergency in your life - one day it will bring: with you or your great-grandchildren - but it will bring.

·         3. Skills, knowledge and skills to survive does not guarantee that if something happens you will survive. It only increases your and your loved ones chance of survival. Sometimes only this chance and luck can help you. Yes, and in ordinary life they can come in handy.

·         4. Remember that to know and be able to do this is not the same thing. For example, if you theoretically know how to swim, then this does not mean that you can swim as soon as you get into the water (that is, you know how to swim). But, on the other hand, even just knowing is often better than not knowing or just guess. And even better if you not only know how, but also practice.

·         5. Do not rely on your skills. They will serve you poorly if they give rise to excessive self-confidence. More often drown those who can swim.

·         6. Skills are always more important than things. At first, many people think that the pantry clogged to the eyeballs is their lucky ticket in case of emergency and emergency. Perhaps this is so. Although the material part of the preparation is important, but all things tend to get lost, break and be selected. Unlike them, your brain, arms and legs will always remain with you, so spend more time with them than with your reserves. A variety of skills can come in handy: construction, first aid, self-defense, soap and candle making, gathering and growing plants, etc.

·         7. Remember that highly specialized things (equipment) are better than multifunctional ones: the more properties a thing has, the less effectively it performs all its functions in comparison with a highly specialized thing. Therefore, if possible, choose highly specialized things (primarily those on which your survival depends). But there are exceptions: even for a highly specialized thing, you can find other uses. For example, take an ordinary shovel. You can dig it, but you can not dig... but even this choice gives unlimited options for action. You can build a house or make dishes (who does not know - clay is extracted with a shovel), you can plant vegetables and dig graves, you can throw a shovel or fry fried eggs on it.

·         8. Things (equipment), even the simplest, you need to be able to use. The above are examples of what can be done with a shovel. However, without the ability to handle it, instead of doing all of the above, you will get only calluses in your hands and a result close to zero... well, or you will suffer well before you achieve a result... It’s also not necessary to know everything thoroughly in order to use it by these things. In most cases, there will be enough general scientific (at least those who study at school) knowledge in addition to highly specialized. Again, using the example of a shovel: in order for a shovel to become a universal tool in your hands, you need to know physics. At least sections of mechanics and a little bit of sloppiness - this will be enough. The law of leverage, the distribution of pressure, the knowledge of how a shovel behaves in the ground or in flight (for example, in flight after a deer) is physics... Which can be useful to you in other cases.

·         9. It is impossible to find universal methods (systems, circuits, algorithms, etc.) for preparing for survival anywhere: the truth is multiple and probabilistic, and we can only make efforts in an attempt to know it. Someone lives in the city, and someone in the village, someone has a big family, and another has small children, someone lives in the mountains, someone in the lowlands of the river, someone lives in Vladivostok, someone then in Sochi... and income along with knowledge and skills is different for everyone. Therefore, you can only find some general advice on how to make this training more competent and adequate... Ideally, everyone should draw up a training plan that suits him and his family and in full, most likely, will not suit anyone else.

·         10. One must always assume that everything will not go according to your basic plan. Therefore, you always need to have a spare. Ideally, you need to have three plans in general: the main, the backup and the backup (if the first two failed). The more choices you have with BP or emergency, the more correctly you can make a decision. Better to be a reinsurer than a hero.

·         11. During planning, it is better to overestimate the threat. Provide even the most incredible options. It is better then to be pleasantly surprised that the emergency or BP was not as strong as you thought about it, than vice versa. After creating plans, if possible, take steps to eliminate the consequences in advance.

·         12. If you are several people, then when drawing up plans it will not be superfluous to use a brainstorming session.

·         13. Whatever plans you make, most likely, at first, in the event of an emergency or a power supply, everything will be chaotic and erratic... even if you trained (although, depending on what training). Especially if there are children or someone will fall into hysteria. To some extent, drawing up an algorithm of actions in a specific situation, memorizing it, and several workouts can help.

·         14. Use someone else's experience: both positive and negative. Having learned about someone else's misfortune, think about what needs to be done so that the same does not happen to you. Try to learn from the mistakes of others, not your own.

·         15. Do not be afraid to ask others for advice. But do not forget that wisdom and experience do not always come with age. Sometimes age comes alone. And young people can have experience. And remember that the asker is not stupid - stupid silent with a smart look ... the truth is not always.

·         16. Do not tell anyone that you are a survivor. Do not draw extra attention to yourself. Disguise yourself. For example, sharpen kitchen knives (they can come in handy at any time), keep the tools in good working order, keep a small supply of food at home and update them, see that your cell phone is always charged and with money in the account. Those. behave as a prudent and economical person, although it may attract attention to you, it is much less than if you say that you are a survivor.

·         17. Do not disclose all your secrets to anyone, not even your family. Keep something in reserve. But remember that all the secret sooner or later becomes apparent.

·         18. Always rely only on yourself. If others help you, it will be good. No - you still didn’t count on it.

·         19. Accepting help from strangers - you will be careful, because anything is possible (for example, theft).

·         20. Do not rely on the state. It wants to be good, but can’t always afford it, and if it allows it, it doesn’t always turn out what it wants. Doubt official information. Do not expect officials to accurately perform their duties.

·         21. Let your family also participate in the preparation: not only will you prepare, but you will also spend more time with your family and your loved ones. It is much easier to survive as a family than in case of PD and emergency, trying to save nothing that does not understand your household. Decide how to make your family more interested in participating in the training.

·         22. Go in for sports (best of all with the whole family). The simplest sport is hiking. This not only strengthens the heart, but in which case will allow you to go a little further.

·         23. Be inconspicuous. People tend to be hostile to those who are too different from the majority for better or for worse.

·         24. Do not be gullible. Best friends can one day become traitors. Many fraudulent practices are based on the fact that people do not want to offend others with their fears. Avoid easy benefits and overly friendly people. You can justify your vigilance by the habit of observing a certain order, curiosity, concern for your neighbor. To distrust does not mean to suspect, to suffer, to suffer from insomnia, to hide their things from everyone and to rush away from everyone who turns to you on the street. It just means to establish some rules for yourself and follow them out of habit, without paying much attention to them.

·         25. Be suspicious of everything unusual and incomprehensible. And also too attractive. It is better to keep away from strange people, strange things, strange circumstances, and in the promising expect a trick.

·         26. The weapon is not the main thing. Many, by mistake, put weapons in the main values in their preparation for BP and emergency, while casting aside all other aspects of preparation. Nevertheless, the weapon is unlikely to feed and water you, and even more so it will not charge the batteries in your flashlight. By itself, a means of self-defense is one of the key tools for survival, but do not forget that there are other, equally important aspects. Naturally, each of you dreams of creating a huge arsenal for all occasions, but do not bring this to fanaticism.

·         27. Always adequately assess the risks: the more heroism, the shorter the life. You don’t need to be a coward, but you don’t need to imagine more about yourself than you should. Remember that your main goal is to survive, not to defeat anything or anyone ... especially at all costs. In which case, do not hesitate to retreat... It is best to pre-prepared positions. And all this applies not only to war and ordinary life.

·         28. Preparation for PD or emergency and survival itself is very good, but do not forget to live in the present. Go to the movies, have fun, build your career and personal life. Your survival should be in harmony with your life today, and not overshadow it. No matter what a terrible future you might expect, leave in your soul the hope of a good outcome.

·         29. It is difficult for loners to survive. Therefore, we must unite in groups. So you need to learn to communicate with people and unite. Here it becomes important to remember two points. First, treat others the way you want to be treated. The second - every action causes some kind of opposition.

·         30. Learn self-control, ie ability to resist the senses in the presence of a significant threat, or a significant temptation, or when you are offended.

·         31. When groups / communities break up or diverge (for example, at and outside work), it turns out that all people have completely different interests and they often do not coincide. And often they come into conflict with each other. And then problems may arise. Therefore, learn not to say too much. You can be talkative, but avoid risky topics. Avoid telling someone that might be used against you. Be especially careful in value judgments ... The same applies to the Internet, where there are even fewer common interests.

·         32. The first thing you need to do is concern you and your family. If you constantly climb into the affairs of other people (and first of all, a specific group of people), even with good intentions, in total, everything will only get worse. If you do something for a certain group of people do not do it for free - altruists usually turn out to be extreme and guilty.

·         33. Do not assume that others will act according to the rules. For example, when crossing the street, keep in mind that the driver of an approaching car may be drunk, or mentally abnormal, or overly busy with his thoughts.

·         34. Do not make enemies for nothing - even if these enemies seem harmless. Farewell to those who unintentionally did evil to you, who have realized their wrongness towards you and seek to improve. Make peace with those with whom you are even.

·         35. Be curious, attentive to trifles, observant, memorable, etc. Incomprehensible means dangerous. Known danger is preferable to unknown. Recognize the first sign of impending trouble.

·         36. Be careful. When making a decision, try to take into account many circumstances, and not just those that are striking. If you look too vigilantly at any one danger, you can miss the others. Predict the long-term consequences of your and other people's actions. Act in the light of possible changes in your opinions and decisions in the future. In general, do not be absolutely sure of something and, if possible, leave yourself room for maneuver.

·         37. In which case, just cling to any hope and do not give up. Remember that there are at least two ways out of any situation, even if they seem unrealistic to you, but you should strive for them.

·         38. Learn different skills and do not bet on any one thing. Master a running, well-paid profession, and preferably two or three... especially those that will be in demand after a power supply or emergency. You can as a hobby. It is preferable to such professions that are not dependent on the conventions of civilization and therefore will be useful even far away from it or if there is little left of it. A doctor, a shoemaker, a carpenter are able to make good money in good times, and in the event of a general collapse, they will die of hunger a little later than a programmer, lawyer or broker. The more you know, the more choices you have.

·         39. A good and versatile education allows you to more confidently navigate in a variety of life situations and learn faster in new areas.

·         40. Always be ready. Settle in any place so that you can’t be imperceptibly approached from behind, so that nothing falls on your head, etc. In any room, take a place as far as possible so that you can see those entering, and also if necessary, you can easily to leave.

·         41. Choose clothes of discreet color and style, made of durable fabric, with long sleeves and trousers, without decorative elements that can catch on something. But at the same time in it you should not stand out from the crowd.

·         42. Do stocks of vital things. If things are going well, use your resources to better prepare for potential troubles. Keep stocks dispersed, in protected places. Do not boast that you have them.

·         43. Be sure to consider where and what you might find useful. For example, ask yourself: is it worth it to carry fishing gear, dry fuel in the city NAZ with you all the time, and what chance are they useful to you?

·         44. Be flexible. If you can’t change the world, change yourself. Being stubborn should only be when it can lead to success. The ability to adapt is the main component of vitality in every organism, and for people it is also a sign of the mind.

·         45. Gather various information (in other words, a personal library) that can help you survive: animal husbandry, crop production, medicine, etc. Best in paper.

·         46. Do not rely on your memory and computer. Get yourself notepads... Although you shouldn’t refuse books electronically, just get yourself several independent copies on different types of media.

·         47. Get yourself a house in the village and constantly there (especially in summer) practice. For example, how to grow vegetables or animals. Make some stocks there, but so that you can’t just get them.

·         48. Do not take all information that comes to you for granted. Try to analyze it... But keep in mind that you will never have all the information. Even eyewitnesses may have a different opinion, and none of them will know the truth.

·         49. Do not forget about constant training, without them you will not achieve any significant success. This applies to both sports and your skills.

·         50. Maintain your health... at least in a more or less acceptable form. Follow the rules of hygiene, undergo medical examinations (not for show), treat teeth, etc.

·         51. Follow rule three. This can greatly simplify your life.

·         52. For making decisions, making plans, etc. don't be too lazy to use the Cartesian square to make a decision.
